We believe every parent are wanting to give the best to their children in everything; whether it’s education, living, or simply provide them with an amazing bedroom. Even so, sometimes, that desire can’t be easily done. Since an amazing room, which is both fun and picturesque, is really pricey. It means that not every family—or parents, in this case—can afford to bring one for their kid. If you are included on that stereotype, please don’t worry, because designer Carrie McBride already has a solution for it. She has designed an absolutely creative and beautiful kids’ room. The best of it is that the room is not very expensive. Unfortunately, McBride only designed one room in blue shades, which is obviously made for boys. Nevertheless, you could freely do some adjustment to make this room well fitted for a girl. Thus, whatever your choice is—simply apply it on your kids’ room or modify the design first—let’s take some closer look of this room.
Like what I have stated before, this room is dominated in blue—sky blue color, to be precise. Before moving on to the furniture and decorations, let’s first play a closer attention to the ‘base’ of the room—base here means the room without any decoration or furniture. While the flooring is made from all-wood, the walls here have two colors; sky blue on two side of the wall that facing each other whiles the rest (including the ceilings) is painted in white.
When talking about the furniture, the designer also keep it simple by having a white bed, some couples of shelves that is also presented in white, a set of playing table and chair in white, and wooden table on the end of the bed. There is no toy box here since the toy is tidily arranged on one shelf and also functioned as a decoration. Here, you can also find a rug in blue shades, while on the ceiling, you can see a sky blue colored fan that helps blend the overall aspect in the room in unity.
On decorating aspect, the designer gives two main decorations here that make the room looks even more amazing, fun, and suitable for kids; wall stickers and leaf accent overhead the bed. On one side of the wall, you could notice that the designer put some fancy stickers of planes and such on there; stating that this is a room of a boy. As for above the bed, the designer puts big leaf there, which can possibly made by yourself using thin green fabric and painted bamboo, to give impression that the child is a dwarf or Thumbelina that lives in wonderland.
